Burlington: The Perfect Location For An Adventurous Getaway

The largest city of Vermont, Burlington is nestled close to Lake Ontario. Locals consider this as a great place to live but for it proved to be a great weekend destination. From incredible garden to exquisite dining, you will get everything that you are looking for. To get away from the madding crowd, I visited this city on a weekend. In case you want to know what to do this in this city, check out my list.

  • Visit a garden

Royal Botanical Garden of this city is the largest one in Canada. No doubt, this is the prime attraction of Burlington. It covers an area of 900 hectares of land and is separated into two regions. There are four outdoor gardens, three restaurants, and one greenhouse. I found this lovely gift shop from where I got some souvenirs. The lilac collection of the garden is in incredibly beautiful.

  • Walk along the pier

Extending over Lake Ontario the Brant Street Pier offers a fabulous view. Take a walk along this pier and enjoy the gust of fresh wind. I climbed the circular staircase to get the best view. It is open from 7 am in the morning to 11 pm at night. Go cycling or fishing along the pier.

  • Go rock climbing

Want to have some adventure? Go rocks climbing at Mount Nemo Conservation Area. However, you have to keep in mind this is not for amateur climbers. In such a case, you can hike on the trails present here. Being an avid climber, I thoroughly enjoyed by rock climbing experience here. The spectacular views will melt your heart.

  • Visit a farm

Put your adventurous side to rest and visit a farm to relax. Stonehaven Farmhouse will let you pick your own pumpkins, strawberries, and corn. I bought some fresh produce from the market. The visit has been a wonderful experience.
